Gamma Phi Beta- Home Away from Home

Gamma Phi Beta prides itself on being home to many diverse women who represent the values, love, labor, learning, and loyalty. Below is a collection of a number of women in the chapter who shared why they joined the Eta Lambda Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta and some of their favorite memories.

Why Gamma Phi:

Gillian Anderson (Chapter President): “ I chose Gamma Phi Beta because it is the only place that I felt like I could be myself. The women make UCF feel like a home away from home, and I’m so thankful for the lifelong friendships I have made along the way.”

Jackie Jara: “I chose Gamma Phi because each and every time I walked through the doors I felt welcomed and at home!”

Cynthia Fonseca (Education Vice President): “I chose Gamma Phi because during recruitment the women made me feel so loved and accepted. I had common interests with everyone I talked to and I felt like I could 100% be myself. I also loved the diversity that I saw in the room and I knew I'd fit right in. Gamma Phi has truly become my second home, I've met some of the most incredible women and gained so many lifelong friends. Gamma Phi has helped me become a better person, a leader, a friend, and a sister and I'm so grateful for all that this chapter has given to me!”

Favorite GPhi Memories:

Nicole Rosenzvaig: “My favorite Gamma Phi memory is meeting my big and best friends who are always there to push me to do better and support me in everything I do.”

Erica Sparrow: “My favorite Gamma Phi memory is big little reveal because I’ll always have my fam!”

Jackie Baron: “My favorite Gamma Phi memory would probably be reading my letter to Thaila on preference night! I was the first letter reader of the night! I got about ¼ of the way done with reading my letter to all the Potential New Members before I started crying. Soon after, almost all the Gamma Phi sisters and PNMS were crying with me. It not only showed how strong Thaila and I’s bond is, but also how strong our bond as sisters is. You could really feel the love in the room.”

Kara Spears: “Coaching cheers for charity was my favorite! It was awesome to get closer with everyone!”

Sarah Cooke: “My favorite memory was Cheers for Charity! It was so exciting to spread Pan love while growing closer with my sisters!”

We’re so lucky to have each of our members! We’re thankful for the memories and excited to make more with our sisters by our side! Making Gamma Phi Beta, a home away from home full of True and Constant friends.
